I know that many people set new years resolutions, which in many situations they never keep. To me, they are a waste of brain energy that is used which never come to pass. BUT there is one decision that we all need to make 100%, all out, full on, totally, day by day. That is the decision to put the Kingdom of God first in all that you do. This year simply brings us closer to the coming Kingdom that when we're at the stage last year.

Matthew 6:33. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”.

What things will be added to us? All that the Lord Jesus spoke about in the previous verses that we are not to worry about.

My own personal decision is just the above verse, because if I put my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ first, then He is going to lead me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake, which may include climbing to the tops of mountain experiences or going through the deepest valley experiences. I do not have to declare and claim verses of Scripture to try to get the Lord to come to my party. Those believers who are always declaring and claiming are whom I call the blab it and grab it brigade. (O you can’t say that Terry) I surely can, because all I see is that they are trying to get a quick fix from God. Come on saints of God, let the truths of God’s Word be set in your heart. If we sing, ‘Where He leads me, I will follow’. Then it does not matter how many Scriptures we claim. We have to follow Him through the ups and downs, thick and thin, good and bad.

In our marriage vows that we made to each other. In sickness and in health. Richer or poorer etc. We meant those vows that we made and to the best of our ability, we have both keep them because we love each other.

What a mighty God we serve. The Lord Jesus is the true Shepherd of the sheep. We are the sheep of His pastures. So that one vital ingredient is that we need to know His voice, and that He needs to know us.

John 10:27. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me”.
