Hi, saints of the living Christ Jesus. I have been busy lately and have not done my usual weekly Word of Encouragement. My thoughts have been on the preparation of a word to preach. So, I apologize for the delay. Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above. Through wisdom, power, and might. Our God is an awesome God.
Wow, have I been stirred in God lately? Do I see the Spirit of God moving? Yes, I do. Something is happening deep in my spirit. A very deep burden has hit me over the last week or two. Tears flow very easily. Many who know me may say ‘about time Terry’. Yes, that may be right. I have never experienced it like this before in all my Christian walk. The Church’s prayer meetings are powerful. The only way I can describe it is that there is a heavy presence of the Lord upon us. Using the word heavy is not a good word, but that’s what it feels like. It is not pushing us down as an evil presence does, but wow is it digging deep into our hearts. Something is about to break forth in the lives of God’s people if we will allow the Holy Spirit to do so at this time. I said to Pat, that I cannot control what is happening inside me. Her response was, ‘That good’. She sure knows me.
This is a song that we used to sing many years ago but is relevant for what is happening amongst us.
The well is deep, and I require
A draft of the Water of Life
And none can quench my souls' desire
For a draft of the Water of Life
Till one draws near
Who the cry will heed
Helper of man In their time of need
And I believe, find indeed
That Christ is the Water of Life.
This is a time in God’s calendar to surrender totally your life to Him and embrace all that He is doing.
Psalms 118v23. This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
Continuing on in the Church in the Wilderness.
As we stand in the Holy place we need to recognize that the huge veil that was between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place was ripped open from the top to the bottom when the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross.
Luke 23v45 - 46. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice. He said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit,’ Having said this, He breathed His last.
The truth of this is that when the veil was torn in two, the Almighty God was declaring that the Old Covenant (the Law) was now made obsolete. And that there was a new and living way through Jesus Christ. From His side poured forth blood and water. We are redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ. To have that cleansing power touch our life we need to come to the foot of the cross and surrender our ways, our thoughts, our heart and life to Jesus Christ. And through Jesus Christ, we can step inside the Most Holy Place and come into the presence of the Almighty God.
When we take a look at what the High Priest had to do and wear, as he went into the Most Holy Place to offer the blood of atonement, we also need to be dressed in the right garments to enter in as well. The Lord Jesus is the fulfillment of the Aaronic Priesthood and through His death as the Lamb of God has made the atonement for us all. We now have to come to Him, to have that atonement applied to our life. It is in Jesus Christ, and only in Him, do we have forgiveness and redemption. There is no other way.
We will take a look at the clothing of the Priest that he had to be dressed in next time.
Now unto Him, Who is able to keep, Able to keep you from falling. And present you faultless Before the Presence of His Glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour. Be glory and majesty,
dominion and power, both now and forever Amen
